Accessibility

Superhost Hospitality wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Structure. Pages use clear headings and landmarks, and each page has a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Keyboard access. Menus, forms, the state-by-state hotel list and the employee portal can all be used without a mouse, with a visible focus outline.
- Images. Meaningful images have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in text, not just color, and form messages are announced to screen readers.
- Color and text. We chose our colors for readable contrast, and pages still work when text is enlarged to 200%.
- Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off and the scrolling photo and timeline strips stay still. The strips also pause while you are moving through them with a keyboard or by touch, and you can scroll them yourself.
- Mobile. The site adapts to phones and tablets, in portrait or landscape.
Known limitations
- Other websites. Hotel bookings (Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Choice Hotels), job applications (Paylocity) and the systems linked from the employee portal are run by other companies, and we cannot control how accessible they are. If one of them causes you a problem, contact us and we will help you another way.
- Moving content. The scrolling strips keep moving while a mouse pointer is over them. If this is distracting, turn on “reduce motion” in your device’s accessibility settings and the strips will stop.
- Documents. Some documents we share may not yet be fully accessible. We will provide an accessible version on request.
